A potluck is when every member brings a dish to share. Potlucks originated during hard times in the 1930s, during the Great Depression. This makes potlucks perfect for our current economic time and our monthly dinner. It is a low-pressure way to find a little joy to share and break bread together among friends and foster new relationships. At the heart of our LBF Community, a potluck is a low stress opportunity to enjoy yourself, meet new friends, and mingle over a delicious meal.
In other words…CASUAL IS IN!
At our LBFC potluck dinner, the task of cooking is shared among our active and generous members . This takes the pressure off of just a few people for "doing it all." (Hooray for teamwork!)
PLEASE EMAIL AMY to let her know your dish(s) in these categories … main dish, side dish and/or desserts below. Our community will provide drinks, (sweet tea, water, coffee) and dinner rolls with an inviting table setting.
Just bring your favorite dish to share among friends. If you are willing to give Amy the recipe we will print it out to share with all. You can give your name or tell Amy if you wish to be anonymous.
Let Amy know your needs for your dish(s) …hot or cold to consider how to best take care of your dish when we are ready to serve. Keep it as simple as you can with your choice of dish(s) to bring.
To keep cleanup minimal and easy, we will use eco-friendly disposable plates, cups and cutlery.
You get to take your cookware home with you - so the clean up and break down will be easy and fast for everyone!
Bon Appetite!
