SEPTEMBER:
LABOR OF LOVE
The meaning of Labor of Love,
When we give out to others because of our passion to do so. We do not expect any rewards in return, especially monetary. Instead, the reward we receive is the internal good feeling and we do it out of our passion, unconditionally.
Basically there are millions of ways to show your Labor of Love towards others.
Some possibilities:
A warm handshake
A big smile to a stranger
Eye contact with a person
A follow up phone call to check on someone
Planting a tree, shrub, herb, vegetable or flowers
Offering an ear to someone who needs to talk.
Offering to give someone a ride
Inviting someone for coffee
Inviting someone to tell their story
Asking someone for their advice
Volunteering at local shelter, nursing home, hospital, youth organization, feeding the homeless or poor, cleaning up your neighborhood
Praising someone for their work, smile or support
Recognize others for their success/achievements
Bring someone a plate of food
Offering to care for someone's children or pets
Adopting an animal from the shelter
Advocating for those who are not able to
Assisting someone with their groceries or bags
Taking someone for a scenic walk or drive
There are millions of ways to express our Labor of Love
