My career started with banking and evolve to social work and finally retired from NWGA regional commission in aging services. My goal with our newfound friends is to help share encouragement to others.
I enjoy the events as well as supporting with meet-up decorating and clean up as well. We met our new friends through a weekly prayer breakfast. It is amazing where God will lead you if you will let him lead. Hope to meet you soon.
I’m a disabled Navy Veteran and when Gus explained what the LBFC was all about I decided to give it a try.
Although disabled, I love to help people, and especially Veterans. That’s what I like most about the Let's Be Friends Community; helping others in a positive environment, surrounded by other like-minded people, both Veterans and non-veterans.
Hi, I'm just a simple older man who's young and loves photography. I just retired after over 50 years working. Now is the time for fun. Life is short so my philosophy is just be yourself, some people will like you and some won't.
No big deal.
We know everybody is different so just be open.
This is why I like the Let's Be Friends Community

This is why I like the Let's Be Friends Community, there's no judgement of your religion or your politics, or your kid's shoes.
It's simple, we are looking for good people to join us, have fun with us and possibly help each other if needed. I've been in the regular Navy 1972 to 1976, the hospitality business from 1976 to 2014, and structural and roof assessor for a large engineering company the last 10 years.
I have been shooting (photography not guns) on and off for the past 20 years and I am the group’s photographer. So smile.:)
Growing up in a small midwestern farming community, I learned the value of family, faith, friendship, hard work, and country. Working my way through college at a local food processing factory, I earned a degree in Industrial Technology.
Food manufacturing continued to be my life passion for the next 50 years.

Food manufacturing continued to be my life passion for the next 50 years.
Progressed from a Production Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Engineer, Plant Manager, to a Director of Operations. 13 states, 14 homes and 23 plants later, retired with my own business as a Manufacturing Consultant.
50 years of managing people from the East Coast to the West Coast gave me a unique appreciation and love for this great country.
From an early age, I have always loved working with my hands. My industrial career, combined with the 14 homes I fixed up and maintained, gave me a broad set of skills. Teaming with my wife; Hai, to start the Let’s Be Friends Community allows me to use my passion for helping others, and especially the Veterans who have fought for our freedom for 250 years.
I was born Le Thi Hai in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, and at the age of 2, as a child of war, became an orphan.
It was the American soldiers who built the orphanage I lived in. They would visit my orphanage with their candies and hugs, giving me the love and hope I needed until the war ended.

Today, the Let’s Be Friends Community is my calling, to make a difference to all Veterans who made a positive difference in my life.
After immigrating to America, I was adopted by a patriotic Texan family. Graduated from SMU in Dallas, Texas and became a “Wounds of War” Speaker, Author, and Entrepreneur.
My most important contribution to our society is being a Child of God, a good wife, a caring mother, and a grateful patriotic citizen, giving back to the country that saved me and the country I love.
With gratitude, I thank our local community who supported us to give back with this non-profit; Let’s Be Friends Community.
Together, we can impact each other’s lives with our inclusive friendship platform practicing love and acceptance,… one friend at a time.
God Bless the USA. 🇺🇸
